Panposh Sports Hostel and Khurda district were declared joint-winners of the Odisha State Hockey Championship after the final match between the two sides at Panposh Sports Hostel Stadium in Rourkela was abandoned due to heavy rain.
The championship was organised by Hockey Odisha with the support of District Hockey Association from August 9, 2019. Altogether eight teams participated in the championship.
arlier in the semifinals, Panposh Sports Hostel thrashed Odisha Police 6-1, while Khurda prevailed over Sundargarh 3-1 in shootout, which was applied after play in regulation time ended in goalless draw.
